The reduction to a pronoun is straight out of Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. I would like to see a resurgence of honorifics, with adults politely called Mr. or Mrs. in the workplace.

This attempt to force equality is as egregious as the story line of “Harrison Bergeron” where the talented are required to hear piercing sounds in their ears to cause confusion and birdseed shot bags around their necks, to weigh themselves down, so those of lower IQ feel “equal.”

Employers that outright descriminate with the following statement in their ad: “People of color, people with disabilities, veterans, and LGBTQ candidates are strongly encouraged to apply” should be shamed into removing it.
