Yes, Christians have a right to self-defense. Self-defense is allowed if the person uses DISCERNMENT to decide when they should fight back.
(Exodus 22:2–3). Two basic principles are taught in this text: the right to own private property and the right to defend that property with armed strong men.
Proverbs 24:11 is an important one for 2025-2030. This verse is a call to intervene and protect those who are in physical danger and not pretend you have no responsibility to save them. In other words, do not be PC and say, “We did not know it was happening…” God does not like milk toast believers.
Rescue those being led away to death;
hold back those staggering toward slaughter.
If you say, “But we knew nothing about this,”
does not he who weighs the heart perceive it?
Does not he who guards your life know it?
Will he not repay everyone according to what they have done?
Earlier in his ministry, Jesus tells his disciples to go out with nothing, including no moneybag (Luke 9:3) for he can resurrect them from the dead. However, here he is saying that once the Scriptures come to pass, they will need more supplies, including ways to defend themselves because they are going to be persecuted for following his teachings.
You have a God-given right to self-defense from those that intend to do you harm, JESUS SAID.
Luke 11:21: Jesus said, "When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own house, his possessions are safe.
Luke 22:36 Jesus said to them, “But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.
Nowhere in the Bible does it say that we can't defend ourselves or our families and any interpretation otherwise is a dangerous precedent to set. There will be some that will say in the END TIMES that Jesus demands you "die for him" and commit suicide in his name to "prove" that you love Him. "You are required to be a martyr," they will say. That is a bold faced LIE, whispered in your ear by the Devil.
